When a file stalls or the app waits

Slow startup and a large font list

Its taking so long to initialize so im unable to use the app.

1. Open the font library on the computer and note how many fonts are installed. A reported job used about 2,800 fonts and the file work became unstable.
2. Move project fonts into Corel Font Manager. The suite can use fonts from Font Manager without installing them on the system.
3. Compare the installed build with Graphics Suite 2026. The publisher describes launch times about 3 times faster in that release.
4. Leave memory free of other heavy programs before you launch. 16 GB is the recommended amount. 8 GB is the minimum.

Large-file hang when VRAM is under 3 GB

1. Check the graphics card against the published rule: OpenCL 1.2 and at least 3 GB of VRAM.
2. If a large file looks frozen, open Task Manager before force-quitting. A reported session sat at full GPU use, showed as not responding, and then finished.
3. If the card has less than 3 GB of VRAM, the published minimum is not met. Reduce file complexity or move the job to a machine that meets it.
4. Save a second copy before a heavy export or trace.

Embedded images at extreme resolution

1. Find embedded photos in the file, especially full-page textures.
2. Check pixel density. A reported save crash was traced to a JPEG of grass above 2,000 ppi.
3. Resample that bitmap to the resolution the print device actually needs, then save a new CDR.
4. If the save still fails, remove the suspect image, save, and place a smaller copy.

Memory alerts

1. Read the alert. The September 2025 update, v26.2, tells you to save, then lower memory use.
2. Close documents you are not editing.
3. Clear undo history the way that alert describes.
4. Keep the Windows install footprint in mind: 5.5 GB for application and installation files, separate from the size of the CDR.

PNG transparency reports

1. Export one small object that you know has a transparent area.
2. Open the PNG and check the area that should be transparent.
3. Reviewers have reported that a transparent PNG from the suite is sometimes solid and sometimes clear. If this file fails, export the same object from a new document.
4. If the new document works, the fault is in the source file, not the whole install.

Antivirus warnings on unofficial installers

1. Do not use the buttons on this site as a download. No installer is attached.
2. Treat a file of about 4 MB as a catalog downloader, not the full suite. Windows still needs 5.5 GB of disk for the application and installation files.
3. On Windows, open the file Properties and look at the Digital Signatures tab before you run it.
4. A hang on a large file is a capacity problem when VRAM or RAM is short. It is not, by itself, evidence of malware.

Practices that prevent repeats

• Meet the 3 GB VRAM rule before you take on vehicle wraps or multi-page files.
• Keep everyday fonts in Font Manager instead of installing every family on the system.
• Save a second CDR before a trace, a heavy export, or a downsample.
• Use the 15-day trial on the machine you will actually work on. Authentication needs an internet connection.
• When an older desk must open the file, save a CDR for that version and expect newer brushes, text, fills, outlines, or transparency to change.
